Luke O’Neill holds the Chair of Biochemistry in Trinity College Dublin. He is an immunologist, who has published prolifically in many scientific journals and has received numerous awards for his research. He has also founded companies which are developing new anti-inflammatory medicines.

A regular contributor to radio and television programmes, he is well known for his enthusiasm and for making science interesting and accessible to lay people. He was a beacon of hope to many of us during the recent Covid pandemic. He has also published a number of best selling popular science books.
