Louis Fitzgerald, a founder and former director of Airtricity and an MU3A member, will tell the story of the establishment of Airtricity in the context of global sustainable development goals. The vision of a world with renewable energy whereby lives are transformed by clean energy inspired the search for wind energy in Ireland.

In addition he will outline the work of VITA, an Irish charity, which is working to enable developing countries to develop renewable energy in their communities.

Finally, he will indicate how renewable energy can be achieved in the EU.
